How to Prepare


  • Bring a your yoga mat, towel and water
  • Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. We do practice barefoot 
  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow time to set up and settle in
  • We begin class on time and our door is locked during class for everyone's safety
  • It's always best to practice on an empty or near empty stomach
  • Our classes are always open to all levels. We do offer modifications for our newer students
  • Please be sure to read the class description to make sure that particular class is right for you. Feel free to ask questions



Gratitude Yoga New Student Guide


  • Access our our current schedule online, read class descriptions, and purchase your class or monthly pass online. If you need help, just give us a call or send us an email. We are happy to guide you in the right direction based on your needs.

  • When you arrive, please be sure to turn off your cellphones, place your belongings in a storage space, remove your shoes and enter the studio quietly. Feel free to arrive up to 30 mins before the start of class to enjoy the quiet and stillness of the studio.
  • The studio opens 30 mins before class. We ask that you arrive to class on time. We suggest arriving at least 10 mins before the start of class to properly set-up and find a little quiet time before we begin. 

  • Be sure to notify the teacher of any injuries or medical conditions that might affect your ability to practice. This helps the teacher better assist you and your needs.

  • Practice Often! We offer 3-4 classes a week and occasional workshops, book club, teacher trainings, and more. 

  • Remember that this is in fact, a practice. Every day is different both on and off your mat. Enjoy the journey!

  • How Often Should I Practice ?
  • As much as your schedule allows. We recommend 2-3 classes a week. Make your yoga practice a priority and the rewards are infinite!
  • What Are The Benefits of A Regular Yoga Practice ?
  • The physical as well as the psychological benefits of yoga are innumerable and very well documented. You can expect to experience more mental clarity, stress reduction, increased balance and stamina, improved digestion, and an overall sense of well-being.
  • What is Hatha Yoga ?
  • Hatha Yoga is the particular lineage of yoga that we practice at Gratitude Yoga. It encompasses all areas of asana (poses), Pranayama (breathing), and Meditation. Ha-Tha Yoga has been described as "sun & moon," "forceful," and even "to strike."  Like most Sanskrit words, the meanings are many. Each class we offer is considered Hatha Yoga. Our classes emphasize graceful movements, mindful actions, elegant alignment, and the pursuit of stilling the mind. Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a deep sense of well-being to each student.
  • How is Gratitude Yoga DIfferent Than Yoga Offered at My Gym ?
  • Gratitude Yoga is a lovely small, private studio completely dedicated to the practice and study of Hatha Yoga. Our classes are much smaller than fitness classes and the setting is intimate. Each class is mindfully designed using the principles of Vinyasa Krama - the intelligent sequencing of poses incorporating breath, intention and method. The studio itself is set amongst tall trees, lush greenery, and amazing wildlife. It's truly unique.
