Paula Foxx

Founder and Director

Paula Foxx is the Owner and Founder of Gratitude Yoga, The Gratitude School of Yoga, and Gratitude Yoga Retreats in Texas.  Paula is a Master Certified Yoga Instructor at the E-RYT 500hr level. Her primary teaching focus is on Hatha Yoga, Yoga Therapeutics, Subtle Body, Meditation, and Ayurveda.

Paula began practicing yoga more than 15 years ago and has been teaching and sharing the practice of yoga for more than 10 years. Paula has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad studying, practicing, sharing, and teaching yoga. 

Paula is also a passionate writer and has written several articles about Yoga, Wellness, Meditation, and Ayurveda for national and local publications as well as having been featured in The Fort Worth Star Telegram.  In 2012, Paula was honored and recognized as a "Texan with Character" by  TV Station, CBS.


Paula teaches public and private classes in a noncompetitive environment to students of all ages and levels.  Paula's classes integrate mindful asana with proper alignment, and focus is on building strength, flexibility, awareness, and exploring one's true nature.  Paula's enthusiam to create and love your life, along with her down-to-earth approach and playful spirit allows her to connect with her students and their own joyful and creative potential.  

Paula's deep commitment and passion for yoga is infectious.  Paula lives her happiness in such a way that you can't help but leave her classes, workshops, retreats, and trainings spiritually uplifted! 

Paula teaches with passion, humor, and relatable examples that everyone can apply to life. Paula believes that there is great potential for joy and healing within each of us and as our bodies change, so do our experiences on and off the mat. Paula encourages her students to celebrate each triumph, no matter how small.

Paula's personal mantra is:

 There is something beyond the body when you do yoga," Paula says. 

"Yes, our bodies become more toned, and we can learn to relax and even feel peaceful.  But, there's much more. 

We have the opportunity to find our "self" through the practice of yoga. 

Yoga reminds us what is real and who we are, our true self."
