We are a Registered Yoga School (RYS®) with Yoga Alliance and graduates of our 200-hour Teacher Training Program are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®).  All of our specialized trainings and workshops are certified and eligible for CEU credits towards ongoing certification requirements with Yoga Alliance.

How to Maintain Your Registration as a Yoga Instructor 

In order to maintain your registration with Yoga Alliance and use the RYT or E-RYT registry marks, you must renew your registration on an annual basis. Yoga Alliance also requires that you submit continuing education hours every three years to maintain your registration and continue to develop your yoga knowledge and teaching skills.

Renew Your Registration

You can renew your registration online by logging in to your account on the Yoga Alliance website. Enter your email address and password to access your online account.  In your online account, you can renew your registration by clicking the “renew” link.

Submit Your Continuing Education

Yoga Alliance’s continuing education requirements are intended for teachers to enhance their knowledge and teaching skills through the ongoing study of yoga. RYTs and E-RYTs must submit continuing education hours every three years in order to maintain their registration with Yoga Alliance. 

Requirements

The continuing education requirements consist of:
Teaching hours...............................................................................................................................45 hours
You must submit a minimum of 45 hours of yoga teaching every three years starting from your initial registration date. 

Training hours................................................................................................................................30 hours 
​You must submit a minimum of 30 hours of yoga training every three years starting from your initial registration date. At least 10 of these hours must be contact hours. No more than 20 hours may be non-contact hours. You may not count any teaching or training hours prior to registration with Yoga Alliance. If you earn more than the required hours for continuing education in a given three-year period, the extra hours DO NOT rollover into the next three-year period.

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

Take your practice and teaching to a higher level with a specialized training focused on Restorative Yoga.

Restorative Teacher Training provides participants with a clear understanding of the roles of the nervous system and subtle energy body and how they relate to relaxation and Restorative Yoga. 

You are guided into a practical understanding of how restorative poses can be used by to create balance, nurture inner quiet, and renew core energy and learn skills to help you create deeply transformative poses through the use of your voice, verbal cueing, and props. Trainees also practice tuning in to the subtle energetic field of their students, developing the ability to sense, see, and feel physical and energetic misalignments and skills for adjusting them to create a greater sense of health and wholeness.

Upon completion, participants will be able to create, guide, and practice a customized Restorative Yoga practice for themselves and others. This specialized training is highly recommended for yoga teachers, wellness professionals, and all yoga students who want to further their knowledge and experience, particularly in offering Restorative Yoga in a more therapeutic environment or to those with injury or illness.

Training Designed For:
New and experienced yoga teachers as well as health professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, mental-health professionals, counselors, body workers, mind-body fitness instructors, health coaches, and others working in healing, helping, and teaching professions. This training is also open to yoga students! 
 
Methodology:
Lecture, demonstration, partnered exercises and practice-teaching of restorative poses, discussions, questions and answers, and a training manual.

Topics Covered:
Expert instruction in restorative postures
How relaxation affects the nervous system in positive ways and triggers the healing process
The use of pranayama, meditation, visualization, and affirmations to deepen states of relaxed awareness for healing
Sequencing, use of props, scripts, and safe physical adjustments
Ways to integrate applied anatomy and Ayurvedic principles and philosophy

Upon Completion:
A Certification of Completion. This can be used for Yoga Alliance CEU hours in Restorative Yoga based on hours of program

(usually 12-15 hours).
An extensive training manual.

A list of recommended reading and resources.
