Hatha Flow

An awakening, mindful, fluid flow with attention to the breath.  Excellent for developing grace, flexibility, core strength, balance, muscular strength and stress reduction.  Appropriate for students of all levels as modifications will be offered by the teacher accordingly. An enriching class that combines asana, pranayama, relaxation, and meditation techniques. This class is designed to allow deeper awareness while transforming the physical body as well as releasing stress and obstacles for a balanced energy flow. This class will help balance the forces that sustain the mind and body.

Inhaling and exhaling cues inform the movement of interwoven asanas.  As breath and body coordinate, the mind follows their union improving clarity and focus.  A class might begin with Sanskrit chanting, meditation or yoga philosophy.  Next, a warm-up and heating sequence typically including Sun Salutations begins the asana portion.  The class builds into an invigorating variety of intelligently sequenced vinyasas, and class then winds down with a cooling period and closes with the final resting posture - Savasana.

All Levels.

Heated Hatha Flow

Practice a flow of hatha yoga postures in our warmed studio, similar to a summer day. Our Heated Hatha Yoga is not hot yoga, but the warmed studio provides a more gentle heat in which to sink deeper into the postures and work up a bit of a glow! As the muscles warm, movement and flexibility are encouraged. As with every class make sure to hydrate yourself before and after class.

Gentle Flow

This class consists of gentle movements combined with awareness of breath, followed by deep relaxation. Our Gentle Hatha class is appropriate for students of all levels.

Rock Body Core Yoga

A total body sculpting yoga class. Using your core to float and fly throughout this practice is challenging and encouraged as many of our asanas are arm balances, inversions, and of course, core work. This All-Level, gently heated class offers various modifications that allow the yoga student to follow their intuition, drop expectations and move in coodernation with the breath.  This is the essence of this practice.  Partner Yoga & Acro Yoga will also be blended into this practice.  Bring a towel and water.
*At least 6 months yoga experience is recommended.

Restorative Yoga

Soothe your soul in this restorative class! Our Restorative Yoga Class blends moving meditations and bliss producing restorative poses, typically done on the floor with supportive props coupled with soothing music & aromatherapy to help the body release.  Restorative poses are an important part of any long-term yoga practice:  they recharge our energy reserves, heal the effects of stress, and bring the nervous system into a more balanced state.  This class will provide a feeling relaxation, refreshment, and renewal.  (All levels)

Body Barre

Gratitude Yoga is the first yoga studio to offer Barre classes in Mansfield! “Body Barre” is a fusion of the Joseph Pilates and Lotte Berk methods. This unique and dynamic class combines Pilates core conditioning with ballet barre work to elongate, strengthen, and gracefully tone the entire body. Barre Bodies develop flat abdominals, thinner thighs, a lifted seat, toned arms and sculpted backs. Light weights, bands, balls, and blocks are used to enhance the effectiveness of upper body work while mats and the ballet barre are used to tone the thighs, abdominals, and seat muscles. This interactive, high energy class is fun, challenging, and therapeutic.

Yin Yoga

This slow and meditative practice is the yogic prescription for chronic tension, feelings of overwhelm, long-term physical imbalance, and exhaustion. This class is the perfect compliment to our other yoga classes. Yin Yoga deeply stretches and nourishes the joints of the body, helping to generate much greater flexibility and core-level relaxation. The poses and cues will challenge and inspire you and the relaxation is mindful and deep. The practice is designed to bring your Central Nervous System into "Rest, Digest and Restore" mode, where healing work at the cellular level can occur. Yin yoga sequences are often linked to Meridian theory, similar to the practice of acupuncture, and can help open up and balance the body's energetic pathways.
